About Me

My name is Kimberly Lokey and I own A Little Chihuahua Love.   405-779-0551 - Chickasha, Oklahoma

First and foremost, I thank our God in heaven for the opportunity to breed Chihuahua's and to feel the love
given to me from my dogs.  I am a hobby breeder & have been breeding dogs for 5 years, starting with Labs.
Now, I specialize in high quality AKC Chihuahua's.  I have long and short coats, and a variety of colors.  I
have carefully selected my breeder dogs to emphasize desirable attributes and to minimize faults in the
progeny.  I am committed to improving breed soundness, which is a physical and mental health with every new
generation and this is one of the reason why I have chosen some of the very best of bloodlines in Chihuahua's
for my breeding program to ensure that the puppy you take home is as close to breed standard as can be,
healthy, and free of any genetic defects.  If you don't know exactly what the breed standard for Chihuahua's
    are then please click here.

All of my puppies are vet checked and current on their shots before they go to live with their permanent
families.  Other animals and/or small children can easily harm these little one's, so please know that we love
each one of these babies and I reserve the right to deny adoption of one of these puppies if I feel that it will
not be safe and loved.  Due to Hypoglycemia and their immune system, I absolutely will NOT let puppies
leave my home until they are at least 8 weeks old.  When they go to a new home before 8 weeks of age, the
puppies get stressed extremely easy and require attention from their new owners every 2-3 hours.  Honestly,
it is not fun taking home a 5 - 7 week old puppy, because stress compromises their immune system and it can
be fatal.  Even if puppies are weaned at this time, they still need their litter mates up until then to develop
proper socializing skills which will helps them to become less aggressive as adults.  I stand firm on this, so
please don't ask me to let go of these babies until they are at least 8 weeks old and big enough to leave.  My
11 year old son, Shayden, and I invest a lot of our time feeding, cleaning, caring for, and loving these babies
and we expect for their new owners to do the same.

My litters are limited, as I only have a few dogs to breed and I do not breed every heat cycle.  All puppies are
born and raised in my home and I do my best to get them paper trained or litter box trained before they go to
live with their new owners.  Please ask me about my spay / neuter policy, which is sometimes required on
    certain pets.

I invite you to keep checking my web site to watch our younger Chihuahuas grow and blossom.  We are very
proud of them!  I also invite you to come meet me and to see my dogs.  You may see me on "Spy's Page".

I wean my puppies to Royal Canin Small breed dry puppy food, or Bil-Jac dry puppy food.

I have formed a partnership with a very dear friend of mine, Sylvia Pender.  We work really well together and
communicate on a daily basis.  Sylvia has beautiful ACA pet quality puppies available most of the time.  Her
website is:  www.ReneesLovinPets.com.  She also has some beautiful AKC Champion producing
Chihuahua's.  For your convenience, I will be selling her AKC babies on both her website and my website.
You may see some of her AKC dogs at the bottom of "Our Females" and "Our Males" pages.  Also check
the "Expecting Parents" page, the "Nursery" and the "Available Puppies" pages.

I strongly encourage you to freely browse this website.  I designed it myself and have tried to make is as easy
to navigate as possible.  I try to update it daily so that it will stay fresh, and I welcome your comments or
    suggestions.

The "More Interesting Stuff" pages are what I have found interesting to me, and in no way am I taking
responsibility for anyone else's actions regarding the information on this web site.  I am not a Veterinarian,
nor do I portray myself to be one, so if you have medical questions please call your Vet first and foremost.
